The full name of PPGI Coil is prepainted galvanized steel coil. It uses hot-dip galvanized steel as the substrate. After pretreatment, it is coated with PE, SMP, and PVDF coatings and then baked. Due to its excellent appearance and good corrosion resistance, it is eventually applied to roofing and siding, the corrosion resistance is related to the galvanizing weight, paint type, and paint thickness.
COSASTEEL is China’s leading ppgi coil manufacturer. Our production line manufactures 250,000 tons per year and has the ability to produce various specifications to meet customer needs. We have a complete supply chain, from raw materials hot rolling, cold rolling, galvanizing, painting, to coil slitting services.Get a Quote
COSASTEEL manufactures PPGI Coil in various sizes and steel grades as per international standards A755M, EN 10169, and JIS 3312, Our product uses Z40 Z100 Z120 Z140 Z150 Z200 Z275 quality galvanized coils, these steels are manufactured using the following steel grades:
DX51D for commercial
S220GD, S250GD, S280GD, S320GD, S350GD, S550GD for structural steelGet a Quote
It’s price is based on the width and thickness of the coil, galvanizing weight, paint type, and paint thickness.
Galvanized weight: 275g
Paint type: SMP
Topcoat thickness: 25 microns
The reference price for this specification is around $1,250 per ton. Note that many manufacturers will conceal the true specifications and quote the price of low-quality steel coil.
The substrate of PPGL coil is galvalume steel, and the substrate of PPGI coil is galvanized steel. Since galvalume is more corrosion-resistant than galvanized, PPGL Coil is more used in coastal areas and roofs that require longer life. PPGL Coil has been used to replace PPGI coil in North America. PPGI coil is more used in cold storage panels and roofing applications in hot areas.
The HS Code for PPGI Coil with a thickness of <1.5mm and a width of 600mm and above is 721070. Note that China has canceled tax refund, European and American regions should pay attention to whether imports from China need to pay tariffs
