The full name of PPGI Coil is prepainted galvanized steel coil. It uses hot-dip galvanized steel as the substrate. After pretreatment, it is coated with PE, SMP, and PVDF coatings and then baked. Due to its excellent appearance and good corrosion resistance, it is eventually applied to roofing and siding, the corrosion resistance is related to the galvanizing weight, paint type, and paint thickness.

The substrate of PPGL coil is galvalume steel, and the substrate of PPGI coil is galvanized steel. Since galvalume is more corrosion-resistant than galvanized, PPGL Coil is more used in coastal areas and roofs that require longer life. PPGL Coil has been used to replace PPGI coil in North America. PPGI coil is more used in cold storage panels and roofing applications in hot areas.
