Dongyang Tinplate has pioneered tinplate manufacturing in Korea since its founding in 1959. Carrying its new name, TCC Steel has produced eco-friendly surface-treated cold-rolled steel products for local and global distribution.

TCC Steel’s tinplate products have ASTM A 624, JIS G 3303 SPTE, EN 10202, and KS D 3516 ET product standard codes. These products have a surface finish of bright, stone, silver, or matte.

They come in nominal coating weights of 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.8, 5.6, 8.4, and 11.2. Their corresponding minimum average coating weights are 0.85, 1.35, 2.45, 5.25, 7.85, and 10.10. The minimum coating weight of 1 point is 0.75, 1.20, 1.70, 2.25, 4.99, 7.46, and 9.60 (unit: g/m2).

KG Steel Co., Ltd.

KG Steel Co., Ltd. started as Dongbu Steel from 1985 to 2020 and changed its name to KG Dongbu Steel from 2020 to 2022. Its current name is KG Steel Co., Ltd. It has been engaged in the production of lacquer and print products for over twenty years.

They work with metal printing companies and supply them to canning companies worldwide. KG produces electrolytic tinplate, tin-free steel, and cold-rolled steel products. KG has a wide range of printable cans, such as 2-piece food cans, 3-piece food cans, and specialty boxes for bottles, candy, and toys.

They also produce 3-piece aerosol cans, 3-piece paint or oil cans, end cans, and food can end and caps.

Hanmi Resources Co.,Ltd

Hanmi Resources Co., Ltd. is an international trading company with over 20 years of experience in the manufacturing of iron and steel products. It started operating in 1999 as Hanmi Trading Co., Ltd., which specialized in the import and export of special steel and machinery.

Hanmi’s tinplate coils and sheets (single-reduced products) have a thickness of 0.15-0.60, while the double-reduced products are 0.14-0.36. These products have the same width of 600-1220 and length of 450-1206. The coil weight is 5 to 12 metric tons, while the sheets are 3 metric tons.

The tin coating weight (g/m2) is classified into equally coated and differently coated for SPTE, while SPTH is equally coated.

Sungjin Co., Ltd.

Founded in 1990, Seongjin Industrial Co., Ltd. began operating as a steel trader. Since then, the company has been renamed Sungjin Co., Ltd. and became STEMCOR’s Korean agency. They export steel products from reliable steel makers in Korea to STEMCOR sister companies and affiliates. Among their suppliers is Hyundai Steel.

Among Sungjin’s products are tinplates for various applications, such as industrial cans, food cans, crown caps, and electronic components. These tinplates have KS D3516, JIS G3303 and G3315, EN 10203 and 10202, and ASTM A623, 624, 625, 626, and 657 product standard codes.

The tinplates have a thickness of 0.14 mm, a width of 0.60 mm by 600 mm, and a length of 1,220 mm.
