Prepainted Steel Coil Manufacturers in Europe

ColorTec might be a new company, yet it stands to be one of Ukraine’s leading steel coil manufacturers. This company uses the latest steel technology in making the color-coated steel from Bronx International Ltd., their partner for years.

Their prepainted coils have steel grades of DX51D, DX52D, S250GD, S280GD, S320GD, and S350GD. They have a thickness of 0.2 to 0.8mm and widths of 600 to 1250mm. The coil’s internal diameter is 508 to 610 mm, with a coil weight of 2 to 10 tons.

COMAX ROOFS® is a trade name known for its high-quality metal roofs. Its corporate store is Metal Trade Comax a.s. Its existence dates back to the 1970s. It was in 2014 that Metal Trade produced coated sheet metals at its 12,000-square-meter factory in the Czech Republic.

Comax boasts of its high-tech roll-forming lines for the production of prepainted steel coils that go by the trade names of COMAX TILE MAXI, COMAX FALC, COMAX KLIK, COMAX BOCO, COMAX WAVE, and COMAX ALUKRYT®.

Their steel coils have an inner diameter of 500mm and an outer diameter of 1,650mm. The coil width is 600 to 1500mm with a thickness of 0.4 to 1.5mm.

NLMK Strasbourg specializes in the production and supply of organic and metallic prepainted steel products. Its main market is the automotive industry. Their steel rolling plant is at NLMK La Louvière, which has a production capacity of 120,000 metric tons of prepainted steel.

Their prepainted steel coils are resistant to corrosion due to the layers of substrates consisting of cold-rolled, surface treatment, primer paint coating, and final paint coating. They are available in various grades, such as DX 51 to DX 53, and S220 to S350GD.

NLMK is a holder of various certifications, such as ISO TS 16 949 (2016), ISO 9001 (2015), ISO 14001 (2015), and ISO 45001 (2018).

Normann Steel is a Polish supplier of corrugated metal sheet and metal roofing tile. They produce these products in their Eastern European factories, which are equipped with roll-forming machinery. Their Nordic-designed prepainted hot-dipped steel coils look simple, elegant, minimalist, and neat.

Normann Steel’s PPGI (prepainted hot-dipped galvanized steel) coils have numerous grades that follow the EN10346/10169 standards. These coils are resilient and long-lasting due to their different substrate layers. The coatings have anti-chemical and anti-corrosive properties.

Among Metinvest’s products are the prepainted steel coils that come in various colors from the RAL chart. They are available in color coatings of polyester, polyester matt, PVDF, PVC, and polyurethane. 

The color-coated coils have a thickness of 0.25 to 2.0mm and a width of 800 to 1800mm. The inner diameter is 508mm to 610mm, and the lengths are 1500mm to 6000mm, while the weight of the coil is 4 to 16 tons.

Established in 1978, SSAB AB is an American-Swedish manufacturer that focuses on steel production. Fornerly Svenskt Stål AB, SSAB, has its main headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. Its largest shareholders are the government of Finland and LKAB.

SSAB’s main product is the GreenCoat®, which is a sustainable roofing, rainwater, and facade product.  This technology uses bio-based coatings to protect the prepainted steel coils from rusting and weathering.

Their production plant uses Swedish rapeseed oil to form the coating instead of fossil fuel oils. GreenCoat® prepainted steel coils offer energy efficiency, excellent machinability, are abrasion-resistant, and are cost-effective. The color does not fade over time due to several layers of substrate. 

Founded in 2018, DAN-STEEL serves as a sales representative for companies that manufacture steel products. Its main thrust is to deal with and organize product deliveries. Their warehouse in Krakow, Poland, has a wide range of prepainted steel coils that have product reliability and EN 10169 certifications.

Dan-Steel’s PPGI coil have a polymer coating that is available in decorative natural, luster, or matte finishes.  Other color coatings are standard polyester, decoprint, and matte polyester. The steel coil has a zinc coating of 100 to 250 g/m2. The coil weight ranges from 2 to 6 tons.

The steel coils are resistant to corrosion and harsh environmental conditions due to their excellent mechanical properties.

ITALIACCIAI S.P.A. began its operation in 1991 as an exporter and supplier of flat carbon products. Italiacciai is a recipient of the Cribis Prime Company in 2021, a recognition of its maximum commercial reliability. Its warehouse has a large stock of building materials, such as panels and PPGI for roofs and walls.

Their prepainted galvanized iron and color-coated steel coils are available in grades DX51, DX53, S350GD, DX52, S220GD, and S550. They are available in thicknesses of 0.17 to 2 mm with a width of 800 to 1800mm. They come in prime and non-prime quality.

The steel coils are available in various finishes and colors from the RAL chart.

The humble beginnings of Metipol began in February 2008 with its former name, Metals and Polymers Co., to manufacture galvanized steel coils with polymer coating. They launched their commercial operation in 2010 for their polymer-coated steel lines. The Metipol Company was established in 2015.

Today, Metipol is a trader and service provider for metals with polymer coatings, including prepainted steel coils. Their expertise in these steel products propelled the metal market in Ukraine.

The steel sheet structure of their PPGI with polymer coating consists of four layers of substrate. The first layer is zinc, followed by the passivation layer, primer, and the final coating.
